Legacy Ventures unveils a new event facility on Centennial Park
With seven restaurants, a catering service and event facilities in the Centennial Park district of downtown Atlanta, Legacy Ventures Restaurants just launched a corporate test kitchen, says Brian Bullock, chief operating officer. “We cater about 5,000 events a year, from a barbeque in the North Georgia Mountains to house parties in Buckhead,” he says. “We needed a space to research and develop recipes.”
They found it and more at the two level atrium space with a dramatic staircase in the Centennial Park West condo building, formerly home to Peasant Bistro and Asante restaurants. “It’s an elegant space for groups of 30 to 100 people, making it ideal for rehearsal dinners or private corporate events held to coincide with Centennial Park’s growing concert schedule,” he says. In a city with multiple meeting venues of all sizes, several things make Legacy Test Kitchen a standout. “Small groups get a space dedicated exclusively to their event. You don’t have to walk through a hotel or share the space with anyone else,” says Bullock.
And the catering chefs are onsite, meaning you can talk with them and taste-test recipes in a comfortable, intimate setting while planning your event.
The location on Centennial Park, in the midst of a thriving entertainment district, is perfect for families, visitors and those who haven’t been downtown in a while. “They see the College Hall of Fame, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium and everything else, and ask ‘When did this all happen?’”
